Description

This week, our kitchen will be filled with the sights and smells of winter baking! Campers will make and decorate festive sugar cookies using cookie cutters and colorful homemade icing, bringing home tins filled with their handmade treats. At the craft tables, we’ll create wreaths, garlands, ornaments, and nature-inspired gifts for loved ones. By the end of the week, children will head home proudly carrying their own cookies, winter decorations, and personalized gifts just in time for the holiday season.

Throughout both weeks, campers will also have plenty of opportunities to explore our Winter First Aid herbal remedies series, with hands-on projects like soaps, beeswax balms and salves, perfumes, teas, spritzers, and fragrant simmer-pot herbs.

Description

This week, we’ll roll up our sleeves and explore the art of bread making! Campers will try their hand at baking a variety of breads, from baguettes and focaccia to sweet breads and tortillas. We’ll also turn our attention to the winter world outside, creating projects that help support backyard wildlife in the winter months, such as pinecone bird feeders, nesting boxes, orange-peel suet cups, and brush-pile shelters.

Throughout both weeks, campers will also have plenty of opportunities to explore our Winter First Aid herbal remedies series, with hands-on projects like soaps, beeswax balms and salves, perfumes, teas, spritzers, and fragrant simmer-pot herbs.

It's time for Winter Camp!

This winter, we’re pulling out all the stops! Get kids off their screens and into garden camp this winter break. Our kitchens will be open all day for kids to cook, our craft tables will be overflowing with creative projects, and campers will explore our Winter First Aid herbal remedies series. We’ll also discover simple, hands-on ways kids can support and encourage backyard wildlife throughout the colder months.
