Our Counselors in Training are campers ages 11–16 who are ready to take on more responsibility while still having fun at Garden Camp! CITs will learn what it takes to be a great leader—helping with animals, assisting counselors with projects and activities, and practicing teamwork, initiative, and care. This is a hands-on, active role, perfect for campers who enjoy being part of the action and setting a good example for younger campers. There will also be plenty of time to play, make friends, and enjoy camp life!

It's the Summer Season!
Get ready for 11 unforgettable weeks of outdoor fun, hands-on projects, and creative discovery! Each day at Garden Camp is filled with opportunities for kids to play outside, garden, cook, create and explore. Our themed weeks are designed to nurture curiosity, spark imagination, and celebrate the joys of the season.
Every Day
Each week centers around a special theme that guides our activities and explorations. Our staff leads experiences throughout the day while campers dive into thoughtfully prepared projects set up on tables and around the garden.
Crafting, cooking, gardening, and creating items for our garden apothecary are part of our daily rhythm. Kids love getting their hands dirty and always head home with something they’ve made or grown—fresh herbs, handmade crafts, food they’ve cooked, or plants they’ve nurtured.
Fresh, seasonal produce is woven into every day, and it’s not unusual for campers to bring home something delicious to share with their families. Whether we’re harvesting from the garden, experimenting in the outdoor kitchen, or caring for plants and animals, children are encouraged to connect deeply with nature and the world around them.
We believe that play is essential. Campers have plenty of unstructured time to explore, imagine, and create on their own terms. While our staff and volunteers tend to garden projects or build new spaces, children often join in—or simply play nearby in the sunshine. It’s a space where creativity, learning, and joy naturally grow together.
Garden Camp is pure magic! The activities and experiences offered are wide-ranging, engaging and kid-led. My child has always had a wonderful time!.- Jessica Lee, Google Review
Our son absolutely LOVES Garden Camp! He loves the outdoors, educational components and hands-on activities. Every day he comes home from camp with something special he handmade (like tea bags, soaking salts and garlands). He loves the baking they do in the kitchen and getting his hands dirty in the garden. - Eleanor Schwarz Google Review
My daughter has thrived at Garden Camp. She has been going for a few years now and it is one of the most meaningful and enjoyable experiences of her childhood, with memories that will last a lifetime. The freedom of play, the expansiveness, meaningful projects, and simply how each kid is loved and encouraged in their individuality has helped her grow into a confident, caring, mature child and we are so grateful that such a unique program is available to us. - Mary Ellen Lough, Google Review
